Trelise Cooper?s sister brand showed its Winter 2013 collection this afternoon – to a very packed house of fashion lovers.
The show opened with floral print pants paired with a leather sleeved coat, and the florals kept on coming for numerous looks to come. Floral was featured on chiffon dresses, as well as heavier fabrics. It really is an all-round print, looking superb on any fabric, and paired with anything at all!
It was then over to the sequins, with a low back green sequin mini dress catching my eye. The emerald green really was a magnificent colour throughout the collection, and transitioned the pieces well from floral to sparkly sequin.
The collection combined an air of sleek androgyny with femininity, by mixing sequined pieces with studded leather, and platformed Doc Martens with chiffon florals.
Hair was very ethereal, featuring a deep middle part, and long, wavy locks. Red lips lent a pop of colour to the otherwise natural, fresh face.
Very directional and modern, COOP took its cue for this season from quirky pop culture. The graphic prints featured were fun but edgy, with tons of floral prints – and an especially magnificent venus flytrap print!
It really was all about print this season for COOP, as they mixed different prints together to create bold, fun outfits. Zebra stripes were paired with polka-dotted pieces, as well as a myriad of sunglass prints, and of course, florals.
Pant suits were a big hit, featuring especially gorgeous slim-cut trousers, in several bold and elegant prints.
The brand?s sequined party dresses were a gorgeous feature on the runway, as were the jewel toned jackets, and boxy coats with leather detailing. Cut-out backs were also prominent throughout the collection, providing a gorgeous detail on the back of blouses and dresses.
Think a look of high grunge mixed with sporty luxe – a look that?s effortlessly cool, but still playful. An epic collision of beautiful colours and prints definitely made for one stunning collection at this year?s Fashion Week.
