Essano Launch New Plant-Based Haircare

Essano’s new plant-based haircare range.

We’ve been a fan of Essano‘s lovely skincare products for a while now and were thrilled to hear that they’ve just launched a new plant-based haircare range. It can be hard to find natural products of a high quality at an affordable price that deliver salon quality results, which is where Essano’s new products are likely to be find many new fans.

“We’re had huge success with our skincare range in Australia and New Zealand, and with an increasing demand for affordable and natural products, it seemed like a natural progression for Essano to expand into women’s haircare,” says Shane Young, Essano’s Innovation Director, Founder and a professional hairdresser. “Our new haircare range is scientifically and professionally developed in our certified organic laboratory. We worked alongside an international cosmetic chemist, with over 20 years of experience, to use the latest in natural technology with excellent results. We’re so proud of the outcome and can’t wait for New Zealand women to try it for themselves.”

This collection was two years in development as it had to adhere to Essano’s strict product promise which means no parabens, sulphates, nitrosamines, DEA, MEA, ethoxylates, PEGs, PPGs, phthalates, GMOs, mineral oils or animal testing. All of that means that the products are as natural as possible and were developed and formulated at Mix Laboratories in Auckland.

There are three different types of shampoos and conditioners which include key hair trends; Argan Oil from Morocco, Coconut Milk and Keratin Complex. Argan Oil Nourishing haircare is enriched with Macadamia and Pomegranate Oils, Aloe Vera, and Plant Proteins and is designed to treat dry, damaged hair and restore moisture and shine. Coconut Milk Hydrating haircare is enriched with Paw Paw, Frangipani and Plant Proteins. Its refreshing and weightless formula is designed to combat dull, limp hair while nourishing it with moisture from root to tip. The Keratin Complex creates a film on the surface of the hair, offering cuticle smoothing benefits, enhancing gloss and softness, and maintaining the youthful characteristics of hair by protecting against structural damage. The range also includes Argan Oil Hair Recovery Serum which is full of essential vitamins, such as Vitamin E and Omega 3. Applying a few drops the lengths of the hair prior to heat styling helps protect hair against damage.

We were lucky enough to try Essano’s new haircare range for ourselves at Vada salon on Monday and after having our hair washed and conditioned with the Coconut Milk hydrating products we were impressed with how silky soft our hair felt afterwards. Even better is you can pop down to your local supermarket if you want to try some as these products are available in New World, Pak ‘N’ Save and The Warehouse now and will be in Countdown supermarkets next month with an RRP of $15.99 which is great value for such brilliant products. It’s easy to spot on supermarket shelves with it’s blush pink bottles with gold Essano lettering.
