The roller coaster ride continues for Jojo Ross with her newest collection continuing to cement her status as a truly remarkable New Zealand designer.
Jojo’s impeccable attention to detail, unique aesthetic, and intelligent design is all part of her continuing evolution forwards. Her inspiration comes from a diverse array of influences, including sci-fi, futurism, and nature. The result is clean streamlined silhouettes but often with an appealing quirk or edge.
Already well known for her complex conceptual pieces, Jojo featured in Vogue Italia’s 100 designers to watch and in 2014 was selected as one of the world’s top 100 emerging designers by powerhouse website Not Just a Label, showcasing her work in Italy.
She has shown at New Zealand Fashion Week, been featured in numerous international publications, and consistently delivers thoughtful collections that are timelessly appealing to women of diverse ages.

Having launched her eponymous label in 2016, the brand JOJO ROSS now focuses on presenting key styles, not seasons, of high-quality New Zealand-made garments. All pieces are sold directly to the public, discarding the traditional wholesale mark-up price.
The newest drop is a continuation of her distinctive vision and delivers warm winter styles and fabrics, and spring dreaming pieces.
“Each piece took a lot of consideration and perfecting,” she admits. “I’ve really focussed on stripping everything back to the perfect minimalist cut and strong silhouettes, but ensuring it’s all very wearable for our customers.”
Included among the new pieces are the standout Yuki Jacket – the essence of simplicity with just a beautiful sleeve and body, in lush wool or 100% silk.

Then there’s the La Bouche Dress with contrast pleated corset-like centre panel, and split sleeves, and the Mystics Dress and Top, with bell sleeves and pleated waist.

The Dolly Jacket, made in a fluffy wool blend this cardigan like style is made from a classic tailored pattern to really elevate the fit.

Providing the perfect outer layer is the JOJO ROSS Otherworldly Coat, available as a fully lined coat with a belt (we are obsessing over the ecru colourway) and also available in a puffer and an easy-wearing bouclé knit style.
