Elle + Riley have teamed up with Bridge Bully Rescue on adorable 100% cashmere dog sweaters that are out now. Designers and founders Elle and Yolande Pugh are delighted to be able to support a charity that is close to their hearts with 100% of the profits going to Bridge Bully Rescue. The Clooney Sweater is available in red and grey cashmere and retails for $169.

“Being huge animals lovers, we always knew we would launch dog sweaters within the Elle + Riley range,” says Elle Pugh. “Rosalind Stewart, Co-Founder of Bridge Bully Rescue, was already a customer of ours and it seemed like to perfect opportunity to give back to an organisation we respect and love. The organisation is run by two caring individuals in support of abandoned or abused animals. Such selfless behaviour is what we need more of in this world, so anything we could do to help their cause was important to us. We would love nothing more than to see their charity grow.”

Bridge Bully Rescue are devoted to bridging the gap and raising awareness about bully breed dogs – and how they can be amazing family dogs. The organisation rescues neglected bully breed pups from the wider Auckland area, ensuring that these animals grow up to become loved, family dogs. They do all the necessary work (de-sexing, vaccinations, microchipping, NZCAR registration, de-flea and de-worming) and then place them into well-vetted, forever-homes nationwide.

“We are both passionate about dogs with a special place in our hearts belonging to ‘bully breeds’ and rescue dogs,” says Rosalind Stewart. “Living in Auckland we are faced with neglected puppies and backyard breeders every day, the majority of these belonging to the bully breed family.”

The Clooney Sweater is available in Elle + Riley’s Ponsonby store and online now.
