Dua Lipa teases brand new PUMA Palermo collab in Houdini music video – here’s where to shop NOW
It’s a good week for fans of British-Albanian pop star Dua Lipa, who just days ago released ‘Houdini‘, her first single and music video since Barbie anthem, ‘Dance the Night’ which has been stuck in our heads for most of the year.
This time, there’s a little less mermaid-disco and a more of an homage to a retro sports aesthetic, with the singer situated in a dance studio, busting a move while wearing the new PUMA Palermo in classic black.
This is no coincidence, with today also being the day Dua Lipa drops her latest collab with PUMA in the form of the newly reinvented Palermo: a colourful collection that celebrates the legacy and enduring popularity of this iconic football shoe.
Having initially made its debut in 1980s football stadiums, where it was a staple amongst the terrace crowd, this reinvention of the PUMA Palermo brings together that nostalgia and sense of camaraderie, modernising it with new colourways.
Two neutral options exist for the minimalists among as, while magpies will be drawn to the watermelon vibes of mint green and bubblegum pink, the more autumnal gold and dark green, and the year-round winner, cobalt blue.
In addition to the six new colorways, the new PUMA Palermo features a retro T-toe construction, a classic gum sole, and the shoe’s signature tag featuring PUMA lettering in gold. Lastly, PUMA’s cat logo can be found on the shoe’s heel.
Available now at nz.PUMA.com, and from JD Sports for PPR NZD $160
