Finding a unique designer piece at a great price, while supporting local communities and keeping clothes in the circular economy – what more could a shopper want in 2020?
Dress for Success Auckland empowers women to enter the workforce through its corporate dressing and career development services. It’s highly-anticipated Designer Sale offers high-quality second-hand designer pieces at a fraction of the price.
At Studio 230 in Ponsonby this weekend, you can expect to find womenswear from New Zealand designer favourites, including Karen Walker, Kate Sylvester, Juliette Hogan, World, Zambesi, Adrienne Winkelmann and Kathryn Wilson, alongside international brands such as Prada, Gucci and Stuart Weitzman.
This year’s Designer Sale is the biggest yet, thanks to many donors clearing out their closets over lockdown. It’s held over two days for the first time, with new stock refreshed overnight. Prices range between a modest $25-$100, and sizes range from 8-18.
The Designer Sale is Dress for Success Auckland’s largest funding event – keeping its two showrooms, in Manukau and Central, operating. The showrooms offer a safe space for women to come and try on corporate outfits and get ready for interviews – an essential step in the right direction followed by ongoing career support. If you’re looking for a feel-good way to spend this weekend, the Designer Sale is it.
Dress for Success Auckland’s Designer Sale – Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 July, 10-4. Studio 230, Ponsonby. Cash and Eftpos available.
