Deadly Ponies have introduced an exciting new capsule collection called Puzzle which imaginatively utilises recycled off-cuts from past seasons.  The limited edition range is available exclusively at Deadly Ponies stores and online in four styles including Mr Boxette, Lady Wallet, Flex Phone case and a silk scarf.

“The idea stemmed from my interest in reusing and recreating since childhood,” says Creative Director Liam Bowden. “Ever since I was young, I would always make toys out of cardboard, materials and rocks. The idea of reusing what we have continued through to the early inception of Deadly Ponies – which began from leather off-cuts. This capsule is an extension of that idea, further exploring our endeavour into circularity as a business, but also an opportunity to showcase our amazing artisans’ skills through the intricate technique of marquetry.”

The collection was inspired by the work of Adeline Harris Sears’ Autograph Quilt and has a nod to cubism throughout the marquetry-style print. Each piece is handcrafted and stitched at Deadly Ponies’ own Auckland atelier, making each item entirely unique and a special piece to treasure for the customer.
