When it comes to leather bags and accessories, Deadly Ponies is undoubtedly one of New Zealand’s most desirable brands.
Now after nearly a decade, Deadly Ponies will open its doors to the public, for the first time this week with their first guerrilla store in Ponsonby, Auckland.
"This is an exciting move for the brand – our loyal followers will finally have a place where they can come and experience the world of Deadly Ponies first hand," says Creative Director Liam Bowden.
"There has been an increasing clamour from our customers in Auckland and further afield begging us to open a flagship store. So this is the first step, and will give DP loyalists a unique insight into our products and style."
The fit out is crisp, classic Deadly Ponies with tasteful nods to the Flotsam and Jetsam aesthetic. But the true allure is in the details. Staff wear Miss Crabb designed workroom aprons and in store products include never before seen designs and custom products from Bowden's well of creativity.
Offering a bespoke service in store, customers can choose from a wide selection of colored leathers, and any full size bag can be made in a colour of the customer's choice. A custom made bag will take up to 4 weeks to make in the Deadly Ponies workroom in Auckland, with an additional bespoke service fee.
Doors open: Thursday 3rd October at 10am.
