Knitwear is a winter essential and its a focus of hej hej‘s latest range which is the Part 2 of their Ode to Linen collection that was released back in March. The knitwear is made from soft blends of mohair, wool, silk and cashmere which are perfect for layering in cooler weather. The fresh capsule collection also features the brand’s signature linen pieces in charming new hues to brighten up your winter wardrobe.
Co-founder Kiki Judd says they have designed this collection as a “uniform for the new norm”. Which is definitely appropriate for New Zealand’s move to level 1 today and a return to life mostly as we knew it. The comeback of last season’s sold-out knitwear works perfectly with the new designs of the range including hej hej’s answer to sweatpants and their elegant dresses which offer comfortable yet stylish options for work or play. “Our new styles can seamlessly mix-and-match with those from previous seasons and our knitwear is designed to be layered with and extend the life of our linen styles,” adds co-founder Alice Isles.
During the recent lockdown hej hej were busy sprucing up their online store and collaborated with London based creative agency OMSE to add a fresh colour palette, typeface and illustrations to their site. The result is a modern yet playful look for their easy to use online store which highlights the cheeky personality of the brand. Right before lockdown started hej hej opened their first shop at BLOC Store which has recently re-opened and features the brand’s new knitwear, the new linen pieces begin arriving from early next month.
