Cordis Auckland have created a delicious bespoke High Tea by Cordis experience that launches today to celebrate the new Karen Walker Atelier jewellery collection. Karen Walker released her first bespoke bridal range Karen Walker Atelier last week which includes a sophisticated range of bridal wear and jewellery in her signature eccentric yet elegant style. The beautiful new range was launched to fashion media at Cordis Auckland with guests able to sample the delightful new high tea experience too.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with world-renowned Karen Walker on this unique collaboration and our debut designer High Tea by Cordis, which will provide a bespoke and elegant experience for our guests,” says Alex Blanco, Director of Marketing. “Our guests will be treated to a one-of-a-kind sensory experience.”
Karen Walker says, “I’ve always loved a grand hotel high tea whether it be in London, New York or right here in Auckland and I’m so excited about how Chef Volker’s brought his creativity to this High Tea by Cordis menu celebrating our Atelier collection.”
The Karen Walker High Tea by Cordis experience is available from today until Saturday 8 September with bookings available during the week and on weekends. Cordis Auckland’s talented Executive Chef Volker Marecek and his pastry team created an incredible menu which is just as beautiful to look at as it is delicious to eat. On the savoury menu is tasty fermented orange, whipped ricotta, walnut butter and radicchio salad, and a carrot explosion on Swiss chard. There’s also delicate sandwiches filled with cured egg, cured cucumber and Champagne ham. No high tea would be complete without the perfect sweets and the there is indulgent cherry and white chocolate mousse, chocolate brownie and peanut butter and dark chocolate ganache tart and caramel mousse dome on offer.
“Designing the menu with Karen Walker Atelier jewellery in mind has been a great opportunity to explore unique flavours, shapes and colours. Every item is inspired by, and named after, rings in the collection and are all crafted in-house, using only sustainable and locally sourced ingredients that sing with flavour,” adds Executive Chef, Volker Marecek.
The high tea experience wraps up with a special treat in the form of the Runaway Flowerpot which is made with smoky chocolate honey ganache, mandarin cardamom curd, guava dome and warm spiced crisps. The ingredients are inspired by the smoky, warm spices and cardamom notes of Karen Walker’s Runaway Azure Eau de Parfum.
Prices are $59 per adult and $38 per child during the week and $69 per adult and $48 per child during the weekend and public holidays. Bookings are essential for the Karen Walker High Tea by Cordis with two seating times of 11:30am and 2:30pm during the week, and an additional seating at 4:30pm on the weekend.
