The Carpenter’s Daughter

Established in 1990 by Caroline Marr, The Carpenters Daughter is a destination for plus size clothing fashion based in Point Chevalier, Auckland, New Zealand.

Our philosophy is to celebrate you and your gorgeous curves, through designing, making, and styling you up to be your most confident self. We wholeheartedly believe in supporting the New Zealand fashion industry, through working with local fabric wholesalers, cutters, machinists, graders, pressers and everyone else who keeps this industry running. With your support we are able to keep these jobs in New Zealand to support our colleagues and their families.

Every garment we stock is made right here in New Zealand, with your curves in mind. We select only our favourite pieces from other designers, and create our very own designer range to embody the personality, confidence and power of TCD Women. You are worthy of fashion, and deserve to feel confident in your own body, no matter your shape or size. At TCD we want to make you feel heard and seen, you deserve to take up space and shouldn’t try to hide it in clothes that don’t embody you. Join us on your journey to expressing your personality through dress, and going out into the world feeling confident as ever.

In September 2009, The Carpenters Daughter made history being the very first plus-sized label to show at New Zealand Fashion Week and has since been asked to return on two further occasions, in 2010 for our very own show, and will be making an appearance at the Retrospective fashion show in 2021

In this digital age we are bringing The Carpenters Daughter to you…No matter where you might be, you can be involved in the TCD community, and don’t you worry…we ship worldwide. We post updates and fun videos on instagram and Facebook daily, and even do a live stream here and there, give us a follow to stay up to date with what we’re up to. And if you have a question whether that be about a specific piece or how to style something up, just send us an email…we always want to help.
