Freshly launched New Zealand lifestyle brand SUNNUP is a range of premium outdoor woven mats, available in three unique designs.
Founded by creative Jade Young, SUNNUP is designed to last beyond trends and a single season.
“SUNNUP is more than a mat – it’s a gentle reminder to step outside your daily routine,” she says. “As a mother to two young girls, I wanted to create something that encouraged time outdoors. Something that prioritised connection, rest and leisure.”
Taking cues from stunning natural landscapes, crystal clear seas, intricate and expansive cliffs, sunrises and sunsets, SUNNUP is a brand with nature at its core.
Available in Azure (blue and dark brown), Fern (green and beige), and Terra (light brown and blue), Jade designs the custom prints and then works with a responsible, ethical, small family-run factory in South East Asia to weave the mats.
Made from 100% recycled PP (polypropylene) plastic, including plastic bags, plastic straws, drink bottles, medicine bottles, and shopping bags that would usually be thrown into landfill, SUNNUP aims to tread lightly on the environment.
“By using recycled materials, we’re helping to reduce the demand for the creation of new materials and for every SUNNUP purchase, we plant a tree through the Ecologi initiative,” says Jade.
“As humans, we need other people and we need close relationships to thrive. Gathering up your loved ones and heading outdoors can promote a sense of belonging and community, leaving you feeling incredibly inspired, rejuvenated, and connected.”
“To gather is an opportunity to experience life’s most authentic moments with the ones we love. And in today’s busy world, that’s what we hope SUNNUP encourages people to do,” says Jade.
