New Zealand Jewellery Designer Cathy Pope‘s latest collection Astro is a dramatic and vibrant ensemble of jewels celebrating the twelve signs of the zodiac in four dramatic elements – Earth, Air, Water and Fire. This collection of unique, intricate pieces is born of her connection to crystals, a celebration of birthstones and the stories they weave, and inspired by astrological zodiac foundational elements. Using a mix of both modern and traditional birthstones in each amulet including diamonds, pearls, peridot, sapphires and rubies, each of the four amulets is crafted on a master stone of solid onyx crystal with sophisticated gold vermeil or silver zodiac inlays. Onyx represents strength and protection and is said to have the trait of repelling negative energy. And who doesn’t want that?
