We’re just one day into spring in New Zealand and already there’s a palpable feeling of optimism as we swing towards warmer months. As one of Auckland’s premier shopping destinations, Commercial Bay is once again pulling out all the stops to celebrate fashion’s new season by hosting their second annual Solstice fashion event. 2024’s event will traverse three days in the CBD, with two fashion shows on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September that will be open to the public and are sure to light up downtown Auckland. Across both days, visitors to Commercial Bay can expect to see new season looks from Kiwi fashion retailers Wynn Hamlyn, Twenty-Seven Names, Moochi, Superette and I Love Ugly, plus international favourites such as R.M.Williams, COS, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Storm, Kate Spade, Rodd and Gunn, Scotch and Soda and more Commercial Bay retailers.
Commercial Bay’s circa $1 billion development is itself a gleaming example of prosperity and optimism, and is Auckland CBD’s newest and most internationally-inspired shopping and dining precinct. Built as a collection of five buildings, Commercial Bay (Māori: Onepanea) takes its name from what was once a bay on the southern side of the Waitematā Harbour that defined the original extent of the Auckland waterfront.
Evoking the feelings of counting down to summer, Solstice by Commercial Bay is set to be a true revelry of fashion, music, food and drinks. Beginning on Friday 13th September, participating retailers and hospitality venues housed in the precinct will be unveiling exclusive Solstice offerings for all to enjoy, with these exceptional deals available until Sunday 15th September.
Commercial Bay is also excited to share that those who spend over $150 in any Solstice-participating retailer will be in with the chance to win a $5,000 Commercial Bay spending spree. Customers who present a proof of purchase at the concierge desk will receive a token for the chance to pluck the voucher from Commercial Bay’s claw machine. This offer will only be available from September 13th – 15th.
