Looks from Caitlin Crisp’s Season Five collection. Images by Veronica Crockford-Pound and Joseph Griffen.
Caitlin Crisp recently launched the brand’s Season Five collection which is available online and at selected stockists. The gorgeous range was originally going to debut at New Zealand Fashion Week last month but the event is currently postponed. In the meantime, designer Caitlin Crisp decided to release the first drop of her Season Five collection on schedule, which offers beautiful pieces that are perfect for the slowly warming weather.
“The collection itself is very “CC”, with lots of frills, florals and fun everyday pieces mixed with a few very special statement pieces!” says Caitlin Crisp. “I have always loved dance and with such a girly, frilly collection it made sense to tie it in with our campaign shoot and video content. I had it in the back of my mind to work with Sakura for our e-com shoot so when I found out her sister was a ballerina it made sense to work with them both for the campaign!”
Among the winsome pieces on offer this season are sweet sundresses, classic shirting, tailored trousers and chic blazers. Playful puffed crops, mini skirts and shorts are sure to be popular for Summer. Gingham makes a welcome return in this collection as does the elegant Wilmer dress in sleek black.
The accompanying imagery features sisters Sakura (a model) and Yayoi (a dancer) in pointe shoes offering dance inspired poses and enjoying each other’s company. The delightful photos were shot by Veronica Crockford-Pound and Joseph Griffen with makeup by Rae Sacha, and beautifully reflect the joyfulness and charm of the Caitlin Crisp brand.
