The ever-popular Britomart Fashion Sessions return for 2017 as part of 4 Days of Fashion in the Heart of the City from March 29th – April 1st. The event is brought to you by Westpac and this year will be more intimate than previous years and incorporate dynamic new ideas.
Kicking off with a sit-down lunch with designers Juliette Hogan and Kathryn Wilson, that will be sure to feature a fascinating conversation on business, motherhood and future plans. The next event will be aimed at men (which hardly any fashion events are) with RJB Design hosting an evening of whiskey and cigars while they present their new collection and offer grooming tips for the man who is keen to look more dapper.
Thursday night will see Zambesi, Kate Sylvester and WORLD take to the runway on Tyler St under a fabulous marquee for what will be an epic group show. On Friday Huffer will be offering an in-store ‘Winter Warm Up’ with drink, food, and a showing of their latest collection. Later on Friday, Trelise Cooper will present a grand scale, open air show across Takutai Square which will no doubt be a show-stopper.
On Saturday taylor will feature an imaginative installation that presents a clever behind-the-scenes approach to fashion with their special show on three times throughout the day. Fabric will also be presenting a wonderful vintage market with curator Simon Miller offering specialty Japanese denim pieces and other one-off finds for display with many also available for sale.
During the run of the four days visitors are invited to take refuge from the fashionable fun at the Mt Difficulty lounge on Ostro’s City Terrace, which is open to the public from 12pm till late each day. There will also be a stunning installation at Made by KAMP.studio which will feature jewellery, homeware and objects that are not to be missed.
With such a brilliant line-up of stylish events, tickets for this year’s Britomart’s Fashon Sessions are sure to sell out fast so get in quickly.
