Blunt Umbrellas have launched a collaboration with iD International Emerging Designer Awards finalist George Clarke this week. London-based menswear designer George Clarke won the Blunt Design Award at the iD Dunedin Emerging Designer Awards 2019 back in March and has been working with Blunt Umbrellas since then on his design.

“We’re always keeping an eye on up and coming designers and George Clarke’s iD Fashion Week entry immediately caught our eyes. We’re thrilled to be working with and supporting such a promising designer like George,” says Todd Graydon, Global General Manager at Blunt Umbrellas.

George’s limited edition umbrella design is inspired by the designer’s ‘Freedom of Expression’ collection where he explores the different identities influenced by street culture. George created a distinctive camo print using multiple printing techniques, which allowed the colours and textures to blend and fabricate into a unique print.

“It was such an honour to win the Blunt Design Award at iD Fashion Week this year and it’s amazing to see my design come to life on a limited edition umbrella. I can’t wait to see people in New Zealand and across the globe enjoying it,” says George Clarke.

Blunt Umbrellas excel at designing stylish yet practical umbrellas that are able to withstand gale force winds of up to 120 kph. The new limited edition George Clarke for Blunt Umbrella is available in the Metro style and can be bought online and from selected retailers nationwide for RRP $119.
