A new collaboration from jewellery brand Black Matter Jewellery and fashion label Wanoa Four was released recently with the jewellery collection celebrating slow fashion. Called LOCAL PALETTE: The Pounamu & Pearl Series, the range is designed to reflect key aspects of the slow fashion movement, including being handcrafted, locally made, and ethically manufactured.
“LOCAL PALETTE is a collection of pounamu and pearl jewellery, designed and manufactured entirely in New Zealand,” says Designer and Founder of Wanoa Four, Brooke Wanoa. “The collection gives the wearer a sense of connection to our earth, land and sea, made for people who want to feel good about their style choices, and who want beautiful accessories that are made to last.”
The collection is perfectly timed as more and more people are looking for beautifully made pieces that are designed to last. It’s a collaboration that Black Matter Jewellery designer Amy Cunningham is excited about too,”Wanoa Four and Black Matter Jewellery are two brands with similarly aligned core values, who have produced a line of jewellery that is truly exciting,” says Cunningham. “There is an increasing market catering to those consumers who want quality jewellery that looks incredible, is made locally, is not mass produced and is handcrafted to the highest standard. LOCAL PALETTE is made specifically for those people and we know they love it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.”
The range features two pairs of earrings, two necklaces and two rings with the designs an eye-catching combination of gold and sterling silver featuring beautiful fresh water pearls.
Jewellery fans can get their hands on LOCAL PALETTE: The Pounamu & Pearl Series at selected Black Matter stockists and online at Blackmatter.co.nz and Wanoafour.com.
