Bird & Knoll's Qantas Collaboration

Carly Chan's winning Instagram photo that was made into a silk scarf by Bird & Knoll in collaboration with Qantas.

Luxury scarf brand Bird & Knoll have collaborated with Qantas for the second year in a row to turn four lucky traveller's Instagram photos into limited edition silk scarves. New Zealander Carly Chan was among the winners chosen, with her photo of California's famous Venice Beach catching the judge's attention.

The four winning entries make up the “Destinations” scarf series which captures the essence of four Qantas destinations as photographed by their passengers. The panel of judges who had the hard task of choosing the winning images included Australian Vogue Editor, Edwina McCann, Bird & Knoll founders Auckland-based Macayla Chapman and Natalie Knoll and Qantas Digital Consultant and Gary Pepper blogger Nicole Warne.

“All four of the images by our guest photographers are captivating in different ways," says Bird & Knoll designer Natalie Knoll. "Bondi and Venice Beach are both bold with bursts of bright colours and activity, while South Africa and Tamworth use soft light to highlight the warmth and beauty of animal and landscape. The composition of each image is clever and they all translate perfectly in to a Bird & Knoll scarf.”

The Qantas x Bird & Knoll “Destinations” series scarves are available for purchase on Bird & Knoll's website and at selected retail stores.
