For 75 years Bendon has been a household name for lingerie and now the brand are sharing their sustainability journey by introducing their first pieces made from recycled materials. The new range is called Conscious Simplicity and marks the first step in evolving the Bendon business to incorporate more sustainable practices.

The Conscious Simplicity lingerie sets are crafted from recycled materials including recycled nylon and fishing nets. The idea is that they help the wearer to look good and feel good at the same time, without compromising on style and comfort.

Among the features are 100% recyclable soft foam cups that provide the wearer with natural coverage and support, with adjustable straps are made with 73% recycled nylon fibres. The silky soft back fabric is made from 91% recycled yarns and the beautiful botanical-inspired lace is made with 50% recycled nylon fibres.

“We’re committed to building our conscious ranges, whilst balancing the fit, quality and comfort you would expect from Bendon Lingerie brands. We’re genuinely excited to launch our first conscious range of lingerie. Unlike clothing, buying secondhand lingerie is not an option, so it’s vital to buy consciously created products that minimise environmental impact – reducing demand for new virgin plastic and decreasing everyday waste.” – The Bendon Team.

Bendon also want customers to know that the life of each garment can be maximised by correctly caring for them which is another way of reducing waste.

Conscious Simplicity is available online now and at Bendon stores nationwide.
