Beauty Diary: Designer Brands

Beauty Diary Designer Brands

Makeup products from Designer Brands. Image writer’s own.

I got a given a few of the Designer Brands products to review including a tinted moisturiser, eyeliner and lip liner. Admittedly, I was wary about trying cheaper brands after going through a bad stage of hormonal acne a year or so ago. I’m now particular about what I’m putting on my skin. But I thought these were worth a try and wanted to share my thoughts with you.

Sheer Radiance Tinted Gel Moisturiser – Light Medium
Enriched with Q10, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and Vitamins A, C and E.
Nourishing and hydrating without looking shiny and feeling greasy. The last couple of weeks has been so hot! It’s been nice using it in place of foundation since the weather has heated up. I really don’t like feeling clogged and shiny during Summer when the weather gets warmer. A lighter coverage is something I’m after.

Absolute Precision Liquid Eyeliner Pen
Smudge proof, 24-hour wear, Luxe felt tip and non-drying.
This is a great option for those with oily eyelids. I drew some product on my hand when I first opened this product and was pleasantly surprised to have it not smudge! (I did wait for 5-6 seconds till dry).

Invisible Lip Liner
Probably my favourite product of the three I’ve reviewed from DB Cosmetics.
I love the fact that this liner is invisible and creamy. It’s not too waxy, and glides on easily. While I’m not adding depth to my lipstick colour, I am letting the shade shine through naturally while priming my lips for lipstick. A lot of the time I just use a red lipliner. Which means, many of my similar red lipsticks start looking the same when I apply them over the top. This invisible lipliner really helps to let the lipstick shade shine. I’m also enjoying the wind-up applicator, rather than a pencil. Because it’s invisible I like to draw it on a little further out past my usually lip shape to really make sure no feathering happens.

Designer Brands Cosmetics (DBC) is a very affordable vegan and cruelty free brand from Australia.
I would highly recommend grabbing the invisible lip liner – it’s going to quickly become a staple in my makeup kit.
