Andrea Moore‘s new collection for Spring/Summer 2017 has just started arriving in stores and it’s a beautiful range comprising of all your new season essentials. Every piece of this collection is limited to only 100 garments in each style so you can be sure you’re getting something that not everyone else will be wearing.
The theme for this collection is strength, survival and determination. Designer Andrea Moore came across the Koi fish on an amazing vintage dinner plate and she felt it would look amazing on silk cdc and as crystal motifs and intarsia motifs on knitwear. “When I started looking into the symbology behind the Koi fish it was a fabulous story of determination and strength,” says Andrea. “All great attributes to be wearing and gaining strength and identity from.
The Koi fish were bred in ponds between the rice paddies, so when the rice was finished, they would eat the fish and in time they started growing them for their colour and beauty. A lot of tattoo parlours use Koi fish designs, because of what they stand for.”
Those Koi fish make for colourful additions to this collection which is full of bold hues that are wonderful for the joyous warmer months. Vibrant prints feature on casual dresses, winsome evening dresses and easy to wear tops that work well with tailored trousers, denim or feminine skirts.
