Summer 2017 is an artistic affair at Amber Whitecliffe with the label releasing a perfectly pretty collection called “Painter’s Daughter” which is full of charming pieces for the warmer months. Designer Amber Pinto referenced her own creative upbringing with an artist father and a home full of paintings for the new collection. She was also inspired by her favourite artists and artworks which is reflected in the colourful, eclectic feel of the range.
The creative genes clearly run in the Whitecliffe family with Amber’s brother Laken also a successful artist in his own right and the siblings were excited to collaborate with this collection. For the look book shoot the two set up a “live studio” with Laken painting as Amber and her team created the imagery with model Yazdine. To launch the collection an exhibition was held last month with a great crowd admiring both Laken’s artwork and Amber’s new range.
We’re adoring all the beautiful silhouettes and fabrics in this collection with the mix of shapes and practical lengths making it suitable for so many ages and shapes. Amber has mastered creating collections that incorporate more casual daywear with workwear and party pieces which means there is something for pretty much everything you would want to do this summer. Dresses have always been a strong suit for the brand and this season’s dresses include some new looks along with AW signature pieces that are sure to do well.
