Allbirds new colourways for Summer. Image supplied.
Allbirds have released new colourways of their clever wool footwear this month with the nature-inspired hues reflecting the beauty of New Zealand. The footwear company was developed as a sustainable business and Allbirds is deeply committed to preserving the natural beauty and diverse wildlife of NZ, which they also celebrated with their recent Bird of the Year limited edition footwear that was inspired by the cheeky and colourful Kea.
Among the new hues are matcha, sand, red, midnight blue and tan which make up a charming colour palette for Summer. The fresh colours are available across Allbirds popular Wool Runners, Tree Runners, Wool Loungers, Tree Loungers and Tree Skippers. Each shoe is lightweight and flexible with the Wool shoes made from New Zealand merino wool and the Tree shoes made from sustainably harvested eucalyptus pulp. Each pair of Allbirds laces is made from post-consumer recycled polyester and their packaging is made from 90% recycled cardboard.
Back in August, Allbirds released their new Sugar Zeffers shoes that are inspired by Japanese flip flops and made from SweetFoam™, which is a proprietary sole material made with the world’s first green-EVA, derived from renewable sugarcane. The colourful shoes are also perfect for the beach and another great way to make your wardrobe more sustainable.
