Inspired by the hot, hazy days to come, moochi‘s new high summer collection, palette five: mirage, has arrived in stores and online. The modern range embraces the use of luxurious natural fibres which are perfect for warm days, along with organic neutral tones (with a few pops of colour) to create contemporary looks for today’s woman.
Creative director Kellie Taylor has looked to a spirited muse who is nomadic in her exploration of style this season. With moochi’s muse ‘traversing through otherworldly landscapes and navigating fearlessly through the vastness, she is self assured and moves with freedom throughout her every day’. To translate that into the campaign the collection imagery was created in amongst stunning West Coast dune landscapes, which have an otherworldly effect too.
For the collection itself moochi have chosen a colour palette that plays on the reflective nature of “mirage” and the optical illusions created across the vast desert scape. The natural tones of the landscape come through in muted olives and natural oatmeals while bright pops of neon pink, vibrant turquoise and teal blue add energy to the range. As always, fabrics are soft and great to wear with luxurious lyocell, linen blends, cotton voiles and lustrous viscose making for considered choices this season.
Among the key pieces for the collection is the new faith blazer and glowed pant in a breathable linen blend which offer elegant softly structured workwear that transitions perfectly into the evening. The knitted collected tee sweater and cotton layer skirt make for perfect summer set dressing with a moochi twist. The eye-catching esteem dress in a magnetic liquid animal print features dramatic double layer puff sleeves and a gathered frill skirt for those who love a statement dress.
There’s plenty of breezy summer pieces that will keep you cool when the temperature climbs not to mention the perfect party looks to take you through well into the evening too. As with all moochi collections this one is beautifully accessorised with the new flip slide offering an elevated solution to the contemporary jandal while the sash hat and sleek jewellery complete the look. moochi’s latest collection is ready to go wherever your summer adventures take you.
