Opening up the unique space means customers will be able to experience each entire range, starting with the extremely well received AW 2011 Nieriya collection, and immerse themselves in the Cybèle brand.
The store is about creating a uniquely us space where the emphasis is on the brand and our aesthetic, says Cybèle.
While previously focusing on establishing the brand and developing wholesale and international markets, Cybèle felt it was time to create a brick-and-mortar place for customers to come and experience the label.
This is something I've always wanted to do, says the designer. For years people have been asking me why I dont have my own store and now just feels like the right time. I'm ready for a change and a new challenge!
While it was a matter of the right space becoming available at the right time, the choice to open in Ponsonby was carefully considered.
I have always been drawn to Ponsonby as a retail district and the space itself has great character its such an eclectic district full of creative people, says Cybèle. This is definitely the boutique fashion hub of Auckland and we are thrilled to finally become a permanent fixture.
Not one for the ordinary, Cybèle is giving the shop a facelift by updating the fixtures, lighting and paintwork. The designer has also found a stunning reclaimed Parquet floor, which will add even more character to the space.
