Judy Gao
Seeing homegrown talent take over the international social media stage is always a joy for us loyal fashion fans. One such example is local couturier Judy Gao of Judy Gao, who you may recognise the name and her eponymous, sumptuous satin and lace creations, or perhaps from her appearance on Project Runway back in 2018 or showcasing at New Zealand Fashion Week. Over 900,000 fans tune in to see her apt and self-described “wholesome sewing content” which captures behind-the-scenes glimpses of her creative processes, making everything from mesmerising reversible dresses to face masks, and even a sewing tutorial or two.

Anna Della Russo
If you can’t get enough of the editor-in-chief of Vogue Japan’s eccentric Instagram feed or snippets of street style, then direct your attention to Anna Della Russo’s TikTok. Here you’ll find videos dedicated to throwbacks, outfit details, daily looks that include high-octane flamboyance, embellishment, drama and opulence. But then again, what else would we expect from someone who bought a second house simply to store her favourite clothes (and some 4,000 pairs of shoes) in?

Two lovebirds with impeccable style, one shared love for fashion, and endless hilarious and sartorially perfect videos. Young Emperors are the TikTok duo us fashion lovers didn’t know we needed. She’s got killer style and is one of the most creative fashion TikTokers so it’s no surprise that we love Nava Rose and her colourful account. With five million followers and counting, Nava Rose has captured many people’s imaginations with her creativity which includes creating outfits out of handbags and all kinds of other clever crafts. She has more than just impressive sewing skills though with Nava Rose’s fantastic sense of style showcasing her flair for colour and many different genres of fashion and pop culture.

Coco Rocha
Coco Rocha’s TikTok is somewhat of a modern-day fashion bible. The former model is pulling back the curtain on the industry in the most amazing way that can be described in 60 second videos or less. She tackles the trials and tribulations of model life, throwbacks to her iconic moments, fun fashion hacks, answers plenty of followers’ questions and gives glimpses of fashion week — oh, and her life as an ultra-chic mother, too.

Allie Provost
For a stunning —and we quote— ‘seriously unserious’ take on fashion and the mechanics behind it as a photographer, there’s no one else better than NYC-based photographer and blogger Allie Provost. Whether you’re watching a video on her gorgeous new purchases, interesting apartment knick- knacks, life as a photographer or saunters in stunning locations — one thing’s for sure: Allie’s style is impeccable, covetable and strikes the perfect balance between opulent, unpretentious and totally wearable fashion looks that’s become so very rare in the world of style influencers.

Haute Le Mode
There’s no shortage of #fashionbloggers and reviewers in the world, each with their own take on the happenings of the industry we love. One that refreshingly breaks the mold of this, however, is Luke Heagher’s Haute Le Mode. With an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of the fashion world, Luke takes to the platform with reviews, commentary, critiques of the season’s shows and campaigns — flashing back to other iconic moments in fashion history. He strikes a perfect balance of informative and entertaining, while calling things out when necessary. Oh, and there’s even a few meme gems scattered throughout for an extra giggle.

Estee Laundry
Lifting the lid on the faux-pas and follies and cracking the glossy veneer off the beauty industry is Estee Laundry. If you’re a sucker for their classic quippy name, then just wait until you sink your teeth into their content. There’s all kinds of rightful exposées and deep dives on questionable products and practises from this anonymous industry collective. Not only that, they encourage thoughtful discussions about things happening in the industry, from the potential banning of beauty filters when promoting products on Instagram through to the debate on “biodegradable glitters”. It’s all here, ready for you to sink your teeth into.

Every Outfit on Sex & The City
What could be more comforting than scrolling through posts after post of outfit details from our favourite comfort show? The answer is nothing. So to experience it for yourself, head to the wonderfully curated everyoutfitonsatc and be prepared to pepper your feed with endless throwbacks to the fashions of late nineties/early noughties and the characters that wore them. More than just a feast for your eyes, the account deep dives into some of interesting facts and history about the costuming pieces. For example, did you know that Samantha Jones’ 50th birthday bash glittering mini dress was originally commissioned for Tina Turner’s Wildest Dreams tour in 1996? Not only that, it remerged in 2016 for New York’s Museum at FIT #BlackFashionDesigners exhibition that featured commentary from Andre Leon Talley himself. And with SATC’s reboot underway, we can only hope it’s feed will be replenished with even more iconic wardrobe moments.

Diet Prada
Of course, there’s the cult-classic call out account Diet Prada, which is (rightfully) praised by masses of Instagrammers and industry insiders for pulling back the very heavy curtain of some areas of the fashion industry. Big fashion houses ripping off designs of up-and-comers is one aspect that Diet Prada often rips into (pardon the pun). But they extend far beyond that, with deep dives and recaps into fashion-industry scandals and significant moments, and holding space for important causes. Their finger is more than on the pulse of fashion: but rather on politics, social issues and the popular culture landscape as a whole.

Shit Bloggers Post
Seeing a few too many close ups of iced coffee cubes, Jacquemus pip tags, and pasta-dishes-as-props-posts take over your feed as of late? You’re certainly not the only one. In fact, you’re joining the likes of fellow Instagrammers jovially poking fun at the saturation of such content we see none stop our feeds. So to be acquainted with a whole lot more, head over to shit bloggers post. Except this time, this account swaps out the pursuit of #dreamy aesthetics and swaps it for a tongue-in-chic collation of the accounts.
