With the warm weather well on the way, it’s time to talk linen. This is the perfect fabric to help keep you cool in summer, so we’ve been keeping an eye out for linen and linen blend pieces – here are a few of our favourites.
Speckled Shift Dress, $425 from Lost and Led Astray (left), TCD Get Out The Girls Dress, $385 from The Carpenter’s Daughter (centre), Sara Drape Print Dress, $129.99 from EziBuy (right).
Linen dresses are ideal for summer. You can go for a “one and done” look (one item of clothing, just add shoes and you’re done) – accessories optional – or you can layer them with other pieces to create different looks. Try adding a tee underneath a sleeveless dress or layering a cropped linen jacket over the top.
Virtuelle High Tide Striped Linen Jumpsuit, AUD $149.95 from Taking Shape (left), TS Linen Zulu Shirt, AUD $169.95 from Taking Shape (centre), TCD Katy Q Dress, $390 from The Carpenter’s Daughter (right).
There are a lot of options now when it comes to linen – it’s not just the classic white, sand, khaki and black options! There are prints and bold colours as well, and there are so many different styles to try.
Linen Striped Tunic, $84.99 from Autograph (left), Sara Longline Linen Shirt, $89.99 from EziBuy (centre), Autograph Linen Shell Top, $84.99 from Autograph (right).
There are a lot of classic summer style tops available in linens now, from tunics to shell tops. There are even button up styles, which are great for layering over a tee or a tank for a casual look.
Isobelle Plus Wide Leg Linen Blend Pants, $25.00 from Postie (left), Tie Front Linen Blend Pants, $84.99 from Autograph (centre), Forever New Curve Becky Linen Tie-Front Culottes, $99.99 from Forever New (right).
Nothing says summer dressing quite like a pair of linen trousers. Cropped culotte styles are very popular at the moment – we love them with a fresh white tee and a pair of espadrilles.
